Living...with Dudes???!!!

So tonight, I have decided to share with my readers, an experience I had in the past involving roomies. One girl. (me) Several guys (numbers varied from month to month). I found myself in this living situation because of a huge project we were all working on. My apartment was forever away from “grand central station”, as we so called it, so I stayed in the biggest room in the house. (Good thing because I my shoe collection alone took up…well ya know)

We shared ONE BATHROOM, and utilizing space for everyone’s toiletries was, at times, a challenge. We had shelving for each person, so that was good. Being the only girl, I attempted to be discreet with my “girl” stuff, but after awhile, the guys became so much like family that it no longer mattered.

Yes, boredom hit me frequently whenever we were not out and about. The guys were awesome enough to bring me In Touch Magazines, Crossword Puzzles, and Danishes to keep me busy. They made sure that I always had plenty of Coffee and Cream (despite the fact that few of them even drank Coffee), and no hunger there! One or more of the roomies would usually bring home some food for everyone.

Now, living with guys is an interesting thing when you are a girly girl, such as myself. I learned a lot of valuable life knowledge during this time span.

First of all, lounge wear.
Boys will be boys, and I wanted to wear clothing that helped me maintain the respect and equality (as much as possible), while also being comfortable. My primary uniform after a day out was a tank, t-shirt, or hoodie, with Victoria’s Secret Sweat Pants or Capris. (depending upon weather)

This is the first place I had ever witnessed mass quantities of YouTube videos being filmed. Everyone there seemed to have some sort of talent, and no one was ever shy about expressing their artistic abilities. (I am sure there are many of them floating around of me, on YouTube…but please, for the sake of the children (?) Do not search! :D ))

We all know how much I love new experiences, and this was definitely a new one. Rooming with dudes. Indeed, interesting, fun, confusing, hilarious, and in the end, a great experience. Though, I am glad to have moved onto more progressive living situations.

But isn’t that what life is about? New experiences, places, faces, and making memories. Even if they are bad ones.

So I am going to post this, go do my nails, and do more research for the upcoming project.

It is so encouraging when not just you, but your entire family and friends are on board with something you have decided to take one. Madre has really invested much of herself into this, and I am forever grateful.
Until next time!
